Default HIDs for 94 civic

i want to get a set of HIDs for my EG8 and i was wondering if 8600k is too bright.they are 9004 too and i didnt know if they would fit my lights. so my question is would they be too bright and would they fit my civic and how difficult is the install? shanks

You need H4/9003. Plus those would be too bright. I would go either 4300K or the next one up (it's 5000 something, don't remember the exact number). Anything higher wouldn't be of much use to you.

aight cool thanks i just couldnt figure out if i had 9004 of 9003. this set is 130 incl. shipping so if anyone wants them i can PM them the ebay link.

When in doubt, just look at your headlights (granted you have the OEM headlights on your car). It's actually stamped on the glass what kind of bulbs you need.

are you guys putting in xenon bulbs in regular headlight housings? What about the ballasts?

ballasts provide power to the xenon bulbs. You can't just plug in xenon bulbs into your regular headlight housings and expect them to work. They're not a simple plug & play operation. So is the $130 just bulbs or does it include ballasts? I suspect that it is just the bulbs.

If you have stock headlights, randomtask is correct.
"8600k" is ridiculous, I wouldn't bother upgrading to HID and lose lighting. The higher that number, the less actual light you will be able to use.
I suggest 4300k-6000k.

I also was :eh: about $130 for HID's. You need: Bubls, Ballasts and maybe ignitors depending on the kit.
