You'll never find a Civic that new in a junkyard, at least around here. I've never seen any Civic newer then '95 in a boneyard and I've been to plenty.

and the newest cars there are probably early to mid 90s.

Parts are in such high demand, the newer (~94+) cars are stripped out before they even get the chance to get to a junkyard.
We some got old mother ******* down here for sure.
We only have smog in some counties around Atl, so people can drive pretty much any old beater they want. Once in a while I get that old familiar smell of a carbed small blocks exhaust.
But it's mostly that putrid sh!t that comes out of engines of today.
(when I'm on my bike I mean)
