Default 97 Civic HX Check Engine Light

My 16 year old daughter rear ended a dodge durango on her way home from church and bent her upper O2 sensor. The check engine light came on. I've replaced the sensor, yet the light won't go off. Do I need to reset something. It's running pretty bad. No power. everything else looks ok. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's her senior year and she'd really like to get it back on the road

Try to unplug the negative terminal on the battery, then put it back after about 10-15 minutes. That will reset your ECU.

unplug the negative battery terminal for about 10 mins,..plug it back up and start the car,..DO NOT touch the gas pedal,..let the car idle for 10 mins,..shut her off and then your ECU will be reset

I would like to know what code it is still throwing. It may be something compeletely different.

Check codes: http://www.c-speedracing.com/faq/06.php
