when you close your hood....do you latch it over the lock...then push down on the hood until it locks on? that how i do it and it works but is that the best way?

 

I let it fall from about a foot...it usually latches.....if not, I just push it with my hand until it latches. Then I secure it w/ my hoodlocks.:thumbup:

 

you drop yours...ahh man i think it will end up braking my latch if i do that....got pics of your hoodlocks?

 

i try dropping the hood to see if it will close but it never does so i just let it latch and then push on it to close it completely

 

youre best off pushing any hood down by hand. CF is fragile in the sense of shatter strength.

Yeah, I just push it down with my hand. I don't want to shatter the latch (or should I say what the latch is attached to. Cause even though it looks secure, I don't see any bolts holding the latch to the hood, so just to be on the safe side, I just push it down with my hand.

 

the latch is held on with epoxy, and magically, the hood is made with epoxy...soooo.... the strongest material is epoxy

regardless, its not that strong, especially in temperature extremees, (above an engine)

 

yeah everytime i close my hood...i either use a towel, or after i close it, i wipe it down w/ quik detailer.
