They're the same...only half clear. Plug'n'play.

no you can't change your 96-98 taillights into 99-00 ones because the plastic is dyed, however you can just switch over to the 99-00 ones. all you will need is the taillights, and some amber blinker blubs because your's are white and will shine white through your 99-00 lenses

Oscar's question was two fold. Bambbrose answered the first question. You answered the second.

heehehe...thanx a lot guys, that's all I wanted to know, because I heard some people just get rid of the orange part of their taillights...and they turn all clear and it looks cool.... but I guess that's not the case with Civic tail lights... but what about headlights?? can I get rid of that orange part in them??? take a look at the pic to see it....I want to turn them all clear like the 99-00 civics... I don't wanna do the 99-00 front conversion because Im kinda short on $$$..

to get the orange out of the headlight, just bake them in the oven or use a heat-gun to melt the glue and take the lens off. Then remove the orange reflector.
OR
you can do it right, and buy jdm headlights that dont have reflectors.

Both DIY's are pretty EZ.

You'll be happy once you get it done. Good luck.
