motegi mr7 with ventus 205/40/16 originally 195/60/14 on steelies tuck the 14"'s and ride was alot better with the 16" go figure.

Right now, I'm still riding w/ 205/40/16 on knockoff SSR wheels. (Chicago streets truly suck!) I'm doing my best to wear the tread down fast[er] to go w/ 45 series tires.

Technically, yes. But the 40series is too thin for street use IMO.

a 45 is only 1% off, so the speedo isnt effected that much (plus it would read faster anyway)

Exactly, technically it calls for 40's but when I saw the 40's on the wheel, I knew I had to go at least 45.
