battery in backwards
ok, so i was changin my dead battery and my lil brother was helpin, and he put it in backwards. the ground to the postive on battery and battery ground to pos on car. so like he just touched it for a sec and the horn started beepin andwhatever. well now the radio/clock/cdplayer/lights on temperature controls dont work. checked fuse, its fine. the defrester and vent and everything work. just radio/cd/clock and they're respective lights dont.i just need to know what would have popped cause a backward battery. thanks for your help.
What kind of car i know on my civic theres the fuse for it under the dash. But theres also a fuse for it under the hood. I blew mine one time and couldnt figure out what was wrong until i found out there was another fuse under the hood.
I did a similiar thing putting my friend's Eclipses battery in my Honda (he lost the alternator belt and we used my car to charge his battery to get it home) but the terminals were switched on his battery compared to mine and it was dark. I blew the 80 amp large fuse under the hood. My car was completely dead though without that fuse, no lights, no crank, nothing. I replaced it and everything was fine. Check all of those under the hood and you'll probably find the problem.
