I used to use plain-old armorall to clean up the bay in my olds... worked wonders. :thumbup:

So armour all is all? is there any way you can spray all the excess dirt and crap off? I remember someone told me to clean it out with a hose but make sure the engine WAS running...i was always to chicken to do it cuz it didn't sound right to me

 

grab a can of engine brite and read the back of the can it will tell you how to use it^^^(for removing the dirt and crud in the bay)

I'm sure every one has a local car wash all the other grime and crap in the corners is easily removed with what your local car wash may call engine degreaser, and no your car dose not have to be running to spray it just make sure if you have a short ram intake that you take the filter off and get some of the water out of it. Don't be affraid to blast it good with the sprayer never once did I have a problem cleaning my engine on my old dc2 and it cleans up the engine really good. Oh and also make sure to rinse it off.

 

what is the point of the "eyelids"

 

if you're gonna spray water into your engine bay, cover up the alternator with plastic. I've nearly killed two alternators with water (not washing the car, but that would do it).
