As Josh said, LSD is just another type of differential, it is nothing additional, all it does is replace the STOCK differential, with a limited slip one.

is it your car or your parents car? if its your car and your money thats paying for the engine I dont know why your parents have any say at all. now if its not your car or if they are shelling out cash for the motor then you dont have a leg to stand on.
