Distributor stolen!?!?
How dumb am I,
I just picked up a 91HB, and not 7 days in my hands I am already jacked!
I am not Honda Tech Savy here unfortunately. Repairs I imagine look pretty straight forward, but I wouldnt mind some input from some of you experts out there.
Questions;
This is s 1.5 single cam VTEC what can I get to replace the dist, both new and used.
there was a cut made in harness close to where the dist was, what is it going to take to get this part of the harness back up?
And I will take any input along any other lines as well.
Good thing they didnt take my wheels.
Thanks in advance guys,
Ray

from the look of it, you must be running a pm6 ecu with a vafc. I've try to get another 88-91 distributor (only 1 hole lines up perfectly on the head) and replace the plugs that were cut. Only the Si and HF distributor will work properly with your wiring setup, if you're still running obd0.
Bake off, more info;
The guy I got the car from said that I may not have the correct ecu for vtech operation???? He also said that the had installed a 4 plug dist. I assume this means that there was no coil. He had modified the dist to fit, as in cut it along the mounts somewhere. I had no idea these things were in demand. Dist and plug wires. Oh and all my cds, but no radio cause it wasnt installed yet.
Also is there anything missing off the fuel rail??
D15B is stamped on the block. Any of you guys in So Cal, Torrance area? Gonna hit the used parts places soon.
Engine swapper says I need a 1.6 Si dist. Time to hit the phone books.

I now have another Distributor $125.00, now need new cap, rotor and plug wires. I would have done those anyway at some point in the near future, so no real sweat.

first off, it's VTEC, not vtech. it says so right on your valve cover :P
and secondly, if you live in torrance, you're gonna be able to find a LOT of help from so cal members. i wish i could help out with your problem, but not too knowledable in that area. hope u find some help.

Thanks guys for the support. Fortunately this is not my only vehicle, but what I plan to drive to ease me through the high costs of gasoline these days. My 5.9 Dodge Ram drinks petrol like its nothing. Oh and at the same time, I can go out and carve up a canyon or Mt Road or two with the Honda. I am researching b16 packages now.
