Default Redo suspension...

92 Civic LX 4 door 5 speed. This is my work car, a lot of highway and crappy city driving. Very rough roads.
I want a firm but not harsh ride. I have H&R's OEM sport and KYB non adjustables. The rear shocks seem to be worn out already (60,000) and the fronts seem to be pretty good (10,000)- but if they feel like the rears soon it will suck.
I like the springs but I don't want to have to change out the shocks every year and a half. And I would like the shocks to actually absorb the shock of the rough roads and control the bumps around corners. Unfortunately I need to keep the cost around 75 for each shock (good luck)- I've been shopping and have found Bilstein Touring- anybody used them?

How many miles can I expect out of the KYB adjustables or Bilstein HD's if I can get the cash.
Need some opinions and anybody have a sale on shocks ?? Thanks.

I've been pounding the hell out of my KYB agx's for a couple years. I bought them for a teg, since they're valved slightly tighter. With those springs, it wouldn't be a bad ride at all....

Unfortunately I can't compare an M3's ride to a Civic's. My 535is (Bilstein) has a completely different ride than my 735 (Boge) and Civic (KYB).

Thanks for the AGX post. Anyone else using either Bilstein HD's or Touring's on their Honda or Acura?
I think the Touring's are in my immediate price range but I don't want to end up with KYB gr-2 quality either.

I think KYB AGX's or Koni red's or Koni yellows IMO
