CAI but the risks you run with CAI isnt worth the 2-3 extra HP difference between the Short ram.

The risk of sucking water up into your intake and hydro-locking your engine

they're not the end all and be all however.....I've still heard numerous stories of people with bypass valves hydro-locking their engines. Bypass valves lessen the chances of it occurring, but do not eliminate the chances.

I've also heard of occurences where bypass valves get somehow come off and gets sucked into the engine. Now would you wanna risk that or gain bout the same amout of extra hp minus 2-3 and get a short ram.

water is not going to get sucked into the engine unless you submerge the filter in water. chances are you wont hydrolock unless you drive through a flood.

all of you "heard of" instances...but have you actually "seen it" happen?

the only places i would worry about is where places that constantly rain a lot and flood a lot. otherwise your car will be fine with a CAI
