i got an civic 98 dx with a 99 front end conversion. im looking for a good place (online if possible) to buy performance parts. i am in the seattle area.

i mainly want an intake system. and a regular 99 hood. and um, can someone help me out on what to get to make my exhaust as loud as possible?? i heard you need some kind of pipe and an intake system. i already have an exhaust.

sorry im am a noob to performance of cars. any help would be appreaciated.

also can someone tell me what the best name brands for intake systems are?

2. K&N?
3. ??

 

Dude, first of all, having your exhaust sound that loud is just dumb... especially if you don't have the power to back it up. You also stand a really good chance of getting a ticket for it. Second, use the search feature on here to find out about intakes. They're all mostly the same... a pipe with a filter...

 

Stop now. Loud does not equal power. Loud equals annoying. If you already have an exhaust, chop it off at the header, it'll be loud and you'll lose power.
