Im getting a B16 SIR 92-95 Motor put into my 92 Civic Hatch DX. Will the stock motor mounts bolt right up or do i have to do any modifications and what else do i need to get this swap complete.

well that depends on what you mean by stock motor mounts. The stock B16 ones will, the stock d-series ones will not.

You will need a b-series AC mount, rear bracket mount, driver's side upper (cam) mount, and right front transmission mount. The upper transmission mount will work, and you can re-use your rubber mounting D-bracket thingy for the a/c mount and the rear mount.

:edit: here's a helpful picture stolen from H-T

it should blot right up, the only thing you will need is a a/c bracket of a bseries del sol....its best to buy a "complete swap" other wise your swap experiance will be bad.

hmotorsonline.com is where I have bought to of my engines from, a b16a SiR II and a B18c..I am happy with both~!

So much misinformation in this thread it's not even funny. The JDM B16A (SirII) OBDI, has the SAME mount as the 92-93 Honda Civic D-Series. In 94-95 Honda changed the design of the D-Series mounts, they are the same ones as the 94+ Acura Integra. I'll post pics if you guys don't understand what I'm saying.

:eek3:

I could have sworn a couple mounts were different due to slightly different block dimensions.

Is this why I've seen a del Sol with an aluminum driver's side mount while the 92-93 Civics I've seen have a stamped steel driver's side mount?

Pictures please?

It would be a really informative thing to have on the board to qoute/link later.

That is why you have seen different mounts, I don't think it's so much the block dimensions rather, an update in the design. Sure, I'll post em up tomorrow.
