Default Del sol engine swap question.

Ok, for my Del Sol, im looking to replace the engine with a Honda engine, but I want power, a powerful engine with lots of aftermarket parts. Does anyone have any suggestions?

um how much you got to spend? If your looking to boost, b18b or b16 are good choices if your going NA could get a b18c1 or if youve got the bucks the c5

C5? never heard of it. Isnt the C series NSX? but they arent C5s

wow...you need to do alot of searching and alot more reading on the forum...then post specific questions. I am not tryin to be a dick, but you clearly dont know much about the motors or engines codes of the basic honda lineup.

C5 ... he was talking about the b18C1 the c1 is GSR the c5 is type-r. its ok man you'll learn, everyone has to start somewhere.

I depends on your price range.

Under $1k: D16Z6, D16Y8 (125-128hp)
~$2k: B16A, B18A/B (130-160hp)
~$4k: B18C, B18C1 (170-180hp)
Over $4k: B18C (Type R), B18C5, B16B, H22A, K20A/A2/A3 (195-220hp)

True, my memory crapped out on me for a minute there. Including the mounts, shifter conversion, etc... it's still in the ~$4k. h:
