i think edelbrok makes a nice bolt on turbo setup that would work with your stock motor. i think they go for around 3k.

Mine (Z6) has 227,000 miles on it and it's still running strong, so I have no doubt that it'll hold up, as long as you get it tuned right.
I think you gotta lose the AC though.
