Default Will a B18c-r integra type r motor work?

i was wondering...since the b18 is an easy swap into a civic, just wondering if the type r motor with a little more power would bolt right up?

or if any major mods would have to be done!

thanks

i was looking at the displacement and bore and stroke of the type r's compared to the gsr..and they are the same......so why is the gsr 178 hp and the type r 210? what makes the huge difference. it have to do with compression?

thanks

Then neither. Get a b18b. But definitely not the Type R if you're really gonna boost it.

there are a lot of differences between the gsr and itr motors... stronger rods, raised redline, higher compression pistons, a different head design, stronger valvetrain, more agressive cams, etc.

If you plan to turbo, none of those parts (except a few of those in the head) actually help you. So if turbo is coming, don't waste your money on a type r motor. It can be turboed with some success, but its certainly not ideal.

why go with the b18b over the b18c? is it b/c if the cost difference?.. cause ive seen a complete b18b for like $900...but no tranny..ecu..or anything comes with it...does that sound right? and b18c for like $3000.

and the b18b is not v-tec is it?
