Yeah.. stock. Main reason I was asking was to find out if my engine was performing roughly what it should. Bought it recently and trying to figure out where it's at so I can start from a "known state" before I go modding/breaking/whatever heheh

9-10 seconds eh... guess I better work on my stick driving if the best I can do atm is 12ish. Only been doing it two and a half months now and haven't driven at all with the aim of learning fast take offs, just daily driving so far. No tacho so dunno where my redline is How bad is it to hit the redline? Even if only a few times to learn the highest speed I can change at. Is it worse hitting redline in 1st than it is in 2nd? or the other way...?

Turns out I was pussy footing around before.. just did it in 9 seconds like you guys guessed
It's an eye opener when all you've driven is an automatic volvo that had a 2.4 20 year old engine but weighed 2.4 tons. I'd guess that thing never revved over 3k even when i planted it lol

Hitting redline a few times isn't too bad in a Civic, its a Honda, it can take a few redline shots here and there.

Just dont hit redline while not in gear, that is not good for the engine.
