Default cluster remove question -

when removing the cluster on a 94 lx - the manuals talk a lot of mumbo jumbo about taking care of the airbag ..... and using short wires when working near it so that no open circuits occur.....blablabla

is this really necessary - i know that the three plugs into the top of the cluster have the SRS signal in them - so should I short circuit the SRS and disconnect the battery before removing the cluster ??

If you just uplugging and plugging the cluster theres no need to short the SRS system unless you're planning on doing some wiring work. But at least, disconnect the battery ground.

Yeah, I have a 95 Accord and I had to replace the bulbs behind the cluster before and I had no problem without shorting the SRS. Just disconnect the battery. Good luck.
