Default is it bad to have a extended o2 sensor

Is it bad to extend the o2 sensor. I just did a 95 teg ls swap into a 2000 civic dx. we used the dx harness and hooked up the first o2 sensor for use. The connector wasent long enough so we had to get wire (same gauge) and extend it about 12 inchs or so.
Thanks

Alright just making sure. We soldered all connections then put heat shrink wrap over them and then put electrical tape to hold all the wires together.
Thanks

Extend the engine wiring harnes and make sure you shield the signal wire. Don't extend the wires on the O2.

We extended the wires on the first 02 sensor. We used the 00 civic (obd2b) wiring harness. We didnt cut the sensor wires just the wires that plug into it and extended those so it would reach the sensor in its stock location.
