typical intake is a 2.5" tube but some are 3".
if it's not said which size it is chances are it's a 2.5".

why are you wanting a bypass valve?

as far as bypass...measure your pipe diameter and go from there.

the pipe diameter... it should be either 2, 2.25, 2.5, 2.75 or 3 inches in diameter.

I've had friends, me including, that have run CAI for years without issues (knocks heavily on wood). But to be honest, I've seen some similar results from regular K&N drop in's than full CAI's....

Don't waste your time or money.A bypass valve does nothing unless the filter is completely submerged in water. If it is the you have bigger probs than your intake.
I have a CAI on my Crx and a DIY CAI on my 5th gen hatch, live in NY and have had NO problems whatsoever.
