Default Korbach frame locks

Has anyone on here tried the Korbach frame locks? I was considering getting a set to try out to see if they live up to the hype.

I've heard 2 great reviews for them so far. Can't wait till they release an EG/EJ version.

I'd think twice before dropping $245 on a few little brackets... even the $195 introductory price.

I'm agreeing with this....
"at $245.00 i think i will stick with buying some $10 1/2" steel and welding it to my frame. it wont be as pretty but will do the same effect and will probably be stronger due to the welds."
it also doesn't get rid of the functionality of the bumper in case of an accident.

There is a question of whether the brackets will create problems in a front end collision, namely that the crush zone isn't so crushable anymore. That's pretty much the only drawback I see.

gut the car, and inject hot polyurethane inside every nook and cranny in the car.

then you'll have a much stiffer chassis all the way around. with hardly any extra weight.

not a bad idea.

go take some measurements
and cut a piece of metal to shape.

take to even a muffler shop and have them weld the plate on.

significantly cheaper. same result.

Seems like everywhere I read about the Korbach frame locks, the conclusion is this:

- they work, much better than you would think
- at $250, they are way overpriced
