another brake swap

another brake swap
Okay, so I am about halfway thru my conversion process, and I'm having some problems. I Have a 97 dx hatch. I've almost completed the rear disk swap, but the MC and prop. valve are killing me. I bought the prop valve, booster and master cylinder for a 96 integra, because that was the car I got the trailing ams and front spindles from. It looks like I will have to re route the brake lines from the valve to the MC, it that correct? Also, the proportioning valve I got looks nothing at all like the civic one, it doesn't even have the correct number of inputs, and I have a large piece with four holes and a seperate small piece. I think the salvage place I got it from screwed up, but I'm really not sure. Should I get an entirely different valve and cylinder? I searched around, but couldn't find any direct answers to my situation, so any input would be greatly appreciated.

2 things, you prob will have to re route the lines, its a common thing, make sure if your car came with ABS that the proportining valve is from a car with ABS. and if your car didnt then you need a pro valve that was from a car that didnt

Okay, I have a non abs civic and a prop. valve for an abs teg. That explains it, thanks, 92eg6.
and thanks for the 411 on the valve, CivicRacr.
As soon as I get one, I'm home free.

make sure your booster and MC are BOTH ABS...or non ABS also. mixing them can cause problems.

Well, the plot thickens...
I'm putting the mc on the booster, and there is pressure on the piston that comes out of the booster and goes in to the mc. I have tried adjusting the shaft to the brake pedal, but I can't seem to make the cylinder go on without applying pressure. It sits about a quarter inch off the booster, but should be easily flush against it. The booster came off a 96 teg with abs. I bought an aftermarket mc at napa for a non abs teg. Do I need to go ahead and get an abs master cylinder?
