i know this has been asked before but everyone just states opinions and not any real facts to back up their answers. is it better to use higher octane gas, will my car run better, faster, or longer on higher octane. i have a d15, yes i know it sux, it sux really bad, i went from an ls in a hatch to this and I HATE IT!!! so does anyonne know? or should i just run the lowest and save some money?

Just stick to regular. I think GSR requires premium. I know that the b16 requires it, not sure about b18c, although I would think so.

 

i perfer at least 91 or above for anything b-series. i ran 94 all the time in my GSR motor, but i'll run 93 or 94 in my LS. my d16 that was in my car stock ran better (no valve tapping) with 93 but i didnt give a shit about that motor so i ran 89 (valve tapping and all)

id never run 87 in anything of mine

 

unless your cars computer system is tuned for high octane gas to actually do something, it more than likely will not do anything to performance

 

I Just read a thing on gas in import tuner and it doenst make a diff like apowe says apowe knows his shit and i am friggen neighbors with that kid we run the neighborhood for sure peace i'm out

 

Honda recommends 87 for a reason. If they thought 93 would be any better for your engine they would of recommended it.

 

the 16's do, high compression o.o

 

you dont have high compression which does not require a high octane. run 87 for the D15. unless you want to pay more for nothing.


B18C's and B16A's require a higher octane level.
