Black accents...
I have a 97 Civic LX and it has those black accents on the car. I want the whole car one base color instead of those black accents seperating the parts of the car. How would I change those black accents into the color of my car, simply by painting them? Also how much would it cost?
well, you could go one of two routes. You could: 1.) Get all those parts painted. If you took them off the car yourself and brought them to the paintshop, you'd probably save money. 2.) Find a junked '96-'98 Ex in the same color as your car, and strip the pieces of that car. Chances are, you'd probably save money by taking the first route I would think.
do what str8edge said, but make sure you TAKE YOUR TIME
nothing sucks more than doing work that looks like ass, and being stuck with it unless you fork over more money. do it right the first time. prep work, primer, sanding, etc. and get a Haynes manual so you know how to properly remove shit so you don't end up breaking it.

i'm guessing moldings, door handles, and mirrors. .. . and maayybbe the rear license plate area. if u have a lot of time on ur hands u could find a junked ex at a salvage yard. they're "accents" are body colored

Make sure you purchase everything else you need to paint the rest of your car (ie sandpaper, primer, tack cloth, clearcoat, tape, thinner, etc.) and you're ready to paint all these "accents" that you have in your car. The good thing about it is, that you can do all of that plus enough left over for a front and rear lip and your stock side valences as well.
But just like the others said, make sure you take your time and paint it right the first time. No point in trying to save money by doing it yourself only to rush it and make the job look half-assed.
