Ok I made a big mistake and bought a 98 ex auto, now hears the question how much would it cost to swap in a stick, I mean the total price: tranny and everything

parts includin tranny would be around 4-7 bills and labor is rated here in my area at 80 bukks an hour, average bout several hours. around 11-1500 i say.

i say get the parts and do it ur self, i did one on a 97 civic auto. easy. just had to drill a hole for the shift linkage.

late

I blew up my first tranny at 30k miles...bought a new one for 150 and put it in myself. But if you were gonna do the auto/manual swap you'd need some extra stuff. I'd still say that you could keep it under 400 if you did the labor yourself. Oh yeah i blew up my 2nd tranny too and i didn't wanna do the labor so it ended up costing me around 350 including a new clutch....good thing sohc trannys are dirt cheap. Make sure you get a EX or 5th gen SI, the LX's and DX's have not so great gearing unless you are boosting
