Default Manifold issue

Anyway I got the AEBS manifold installed, and its a royal bitch.

Anyway, when I start up car the RPM jumps up to near 4-6k and then I gotta turn it off for fear of redlining in neutral.

The only thing I can think of that is disconnected is the IATV, which is disconnected because the wires arent long enough.. which leads me to another question..

can I cut the wires and rewire them longer without screwing things up?

shivers had this exact same problem. Your manifold is not bolted on all the way or the intake manifold gasket or tb gasket is no good. It's just sucking air in and not using the tb plate to restrict the air flow. Double check that all of the bolts/nuts are tight on both the intake and the tb.

to answer your other question, yes you can cut them and lengthen them with no problem. I would recomend soldering the connections but it is not neccessary.

Oh, I missed that part. :loco:

Ya, man. Just make sure you don't cross them over when you solder them back together. Do one at a time.

im so frustrated.

I redid everything , took out manifold bracket for extra extra room, and still the same thing.

tommorow im calling up AEBS, which I hoped I didnt have to do, because of the earlier thread telling me how bad their customer service is.

*sigh*
