Default Tires?

Hey all, I have stock steeles and tires on my 94 EX, I think hey are 14", anyways, I wanted to know a good performance tire, doesent have to perform good in the rain, it just needs to grip the dry road, they are gonna be for the track only. Should I get larger wheels if mine are 14", because it looks like I could go about 1" bigger?

Falken makes the Azenis sized 195/60/14 if you're want a set of those. And they're about 50 bucks per tire (or less) depending on where you get them.

i would personally go with either one of these

Bridgestone potenza RE-01's

Yokohama Advan Neova's

both have really good traction and they are not as cheap as the Falkens but they perform better, yes get bigger rims

KUmho MXs are also on par with the Falken Azenis, but need more heat to get them to work.

Keep in mind these are Track tires, warming them up is no problem..... I have to spend under 300, Also, my other question, should I get larger wheels? I looked and I have Bridgestone potenza tires on there now and 14" steelies with cracked and flakeing stock hubcaps, there is like a ugly yellow where the paint has come off, I looked for some Hubcaps yesterday and they are all ugly as ass, spin, or look too much like hubcaps. I wanted to know if larger wheels will be better (I dont like the gap above my tire) and im not gonna lower my car, I have already been there and I didnt like the ride quality, besides, I have all new Poly bushings, and it helped more than lowerin it. Also Would it look alright if I painted the steel wheels gloss black instead of Hubcaps? Or should I keep shopin for some hubcaps?

just curious, when you were lowered before did you have springs on stock shocks?

find someone with a nice springs and shock setup and then take a drive

Larger wheels won't close up the gap. If anything, it'll make it more noticable. Also, if these are going to be mounted on tires for race only, just stick with the 14's.

I vote paint the wheels black. Leave the hubcaps off. Especially aftermarket hubcaps
