I had mines on during winter months, and at times during a small sleet shower, if i accelerated too fast...my car would shake ( water was getting into my engine ). When i looked at my filter, it was dripping wet and it was kind of wet along the pipes...

to be honest it's not really gonna add power.. the initial cai will, but the bypass valve like these other guys said is basicly a precautionary thingy majig.. when it was 1st released i saw a flick and they had a car with the aem cai intake filter dropped into a bucket of water.. the car was at like 5k rpm's and the water was just pouring out of the bypass valve.. that's when i realized that they do work.. i'll try to find that flick and post it..

He didnt mean its gonna add power, he was wondering if the valve would reduce power.

oops.. well it probably will, but now much.. and the saftey precautions that it brings in my opinion would out weigh the power loss
