Default what wheel offset?

does anyone know what offset(s) will work with a 16x7" on a 99 dx hatch
the application guide on the motegi site says 35mm but that sounds a like little to much wheel on the outside

42-45 perhaps? I have 16x7 Rotas with a 40 offset, no problems as of now.

It also depends on the tires you buy. For a 16x7" wheel you should stick with a 42-44mm offset and 205/45x16" tires to be safe.

With those measurements you should be good up to a 3" drop if you want.

With a 40mm or lower offset you have to be careful since one company's 40mm offset might be 38mm and another compay is 42mm. I had this problem when I had 17x7" wheels by two different companies but both the same offset (both with the same tires). ONe set rubbed while the other didn't.

Sorry to jack the thread, but my 40 offsets are from 16x7 Rota Circuit 8s, 205/45. If rubbing hasn't been an issue since I put them on, is there anything else I should worry about?
