the other day i opend up my armrest and noticed under the top of it there is a little squar box about 3 in by 4 inches that can fit about 1 credit card in it and was wondering what the reason for this is it is on my 2000 civic si and i was wondering if honda put these on other cars and if they had more uses?

i got it in my ex...so its in all the armrests

 

If i had to guess it's so you can clip your registration and insurance there

So that's what it's for! I found that it fits my BP gas receipts perfectly. Good to finally know!

i didn't see this box you are speaking of in my arm rest today. maybe they did away with it by now.

 

yea the were thinking of their owners.... you know, they have to pull out their insurance and registration quite often, it was just a conviniency
