Default What to get...?

Hey,

Ive got a few questions....

I was planning on gettin a AEM V2 CAI for my 2000 Civic EX, and i was just wondering what the benefits of having a CAI would be. Also, should i spend the extra $30-$40 for the air bypass valve? and if so, what size would i need? it had like 2.25" and 2.5".

OR do you guys think i should save my money to get my car lowered? and what spring/shock combination would you suggest? i also just saw in importtuner a koni kit that comes with springs and shocks that lower 1.5" to 1.8". idk how much that costs, if anyone knows, lemme know. would that be a good setup?

id like to know more info on the cai, so if you have info about both, or either, fill a newbie in! thanks

Build the suspension. You'll notice the change from that than you would from the intake, and it'll make your car a lot more fun to drive.

Suspensions, For one Quikstep is right, itll be way more fun.

Also the V2 CAI is kinda a gimmick, I havent seen any REAL dynos (other then that from the company) that proves it gives that much more HP. And if you do go cai get a bypass valve, itll help you avoid hydrolock supposedly.

Also its hard to give you a quote on the suspensions, as there is so many companys and products to choose from. Just check around.

I don't think that bypass valve is perfect, so you risk hydrolocking your engine if you do get a CAI, and the gains you will see are minimal, so upgrade your suspension.

Definitely do the suspension first. Have you considered full coilovers as opposed to springs/shocks? DIY, definitely. Don't pay anyone but yourself... wait...
