Default Dirty Headlights

Hey. My '97 Civic's headlight lenses are really dirty on the inside. Anybody know how to get them off so i can clean them? Thanks.

They're probably oxidized. Yellowish... Clean them with metal polish once you get them apart. Clean the outsides with metal polish before you take them out and see if that helps. My favorite brand for this is Blue Majic metal polish mixed with Elbow Grease®.

i know that this is going to sound rather odd to many of u but that yellowish tint on the outside of the lenses can also be removed with Nail Polish Remover. I read it somewhere one time & decided to take the girlfriends nail polish remover & try it.. it worked & they were like brand new again.. just FYI .. hope this helps someone out there

Nail polish remover is like acid. That stuff will clean anything.

Blue Magic "metal polish" is the definative shit for polishing plastic. It is completely non-abrasive and will take absolutely anything off the lense. I've used it to get spraypaint off of a taillight (dumbass previous owner) and it only took a few minutes to fully clean the light of all paint.
