Default ok b18b is in

but it wont fire. what are the most probable causes on swapped motors for them not to crank?? It seems to turn over fine and is getting spark. I smell gass so I have to wonder what is going on. All connections are made as best I know how. I got kind of confused on the last of the electrical and vacuums and radiators but I think i got em figured out. I have to cel fuel pump turns on and off again. I turn the key and it just turns over.

CELs? How about any info at all on the swap? Years/chassis/how you did the wiring.

Number one reason, I usually see, if misplacing the ground on the starter instead of on the thermostat housing. I think it's a 4 wire going into a weird rectangular connector that gets a 10mm bolt.

Will that make a difference? If so what are the signs of that besides that you know you have it in the wrong place. In other words does it turn at all, does it bearly turn things to that level. Also it is a b18b 98 in a 94 civic dx. I used the harness off of my 98 motor to put it in with. Should I have used the civic harness? I am getting spark but It seems like it is kind of hard for it to turn over. Also, where does the hose comming out of the sensor on top of the im connect to?? I took a guess by putting it on the front water neck comming out of the head but I wasnt sure.

seems to me that you are using a obd1 computer and internal harness, and a obd2 engine harness with a obd2 engine. you prob can get away with 2 things, get a ecu adapter and put a obd2 on(no recommended) or put your civic harness on the b18b get obd1 injectors and distributer, i belive alternator2 not sure

No, not at all. OBD1 computer will run an OBD2 motor, no problem.

POMANSOUTH. I don't know what sensor you're talking about. Either get a Helms manual, and learn the names of everything, or take pictures.

Keep in mind, not everything is a coolant line, sometimes it's a vacc line

whats a good way to tell a difference. Are there any coolant lines to go in the top of the im for a b18b obd2?? It doesnt seem logical to me.

I need to know where each hose is supposed to go. If anyone could get some pics of a motor (preferably a b18) in a car fully assymbled to show me where everything goes, I would greatly appreciate it.
