Default 00' Si engine swap question

what kind of engine should i put in my Civic to make it faster and what kinds of things should i do to prepare my car for upgrades

Well how much are you willing to spend? You could do nitrous, engine swap, turbo, or supercharger, pretty much the most common mods out there. Engine swap with turbo seems to be pretty popular these days...

Do you have a 2000 si or are you swapping an SI engine in to your car? If you already have a B16A DOHC, not a canadian si, then I'd say stick with that and maybe go FI(turbo). There are plenty of ways to juice up that engine.

yes im running the stock 2000 si engine if thats a b16a than great i was just wondering what was better that i could throw in there. by the way alllooks what is the canadian Si?

Look for an attached Honda plate somewhere in the engine bay, I dunno where it is on the 2000, and it'll tell you where your Honda was manufactured. Also, the plate on the engine should tell you as well. Canadian Si just means it was built in Canada.

i belive it is american but when i took it to the shop the first time alot of corrosion was found underneath particularly my my swaybars and especially my catalytic convert which i was told was becasue the original owner must have lived somewhere where it is always icy and they salt the streets and when it was brought here to cali it casued it was alowwed to dry out causing the corrosion
