It's pretty hard to cut a perfect hole for the switch, as it is a unique shape. Also, not sure what is behind where you're cutting.

Nice to hear, I'm gonna see how much $$$ I can save by next summer when I'm back in NY for my summer break to do an engine & tranny swap cause mine is also automatic. Or maybe just swap the tranny come Christmas break this year. Nice to know someone in the area will have been through this process before of making the switch.

I have done 2 of them already. For friends. Simple swap just takes some time.

I thought that the JDM one was the actual vent and coin pocket attached together? Maybe im wrong?

The thing that you want to do when putting in that coin pocket is to leave the dimmer switch installed, and just stuff it into the dash and then just have the coin pocket take it's place. When I took off (disconnected) the switch, all of my dash lights weren't working, so you're gonna have to leave the dimmer switch connected.
