Ummm, take off the driver's side one and ope up the passenger's side, see if anything is different, i think all you need is the mirror and screws.

if you just want a manual mirror you just need the mirror, hardware, and the inner cover with a hole in it for the adjusting arm.

In with monicle, all you need is the mirror assembly, the three nuts that hold it on, and the inner "triangle" trim peice with hole for the manual adjustment arm.

Must be a VX hatch. The passenger side mirror was optional for aerodynamics. Leave it off!

Isn't it required that you have both mirrors? If you're not sure how to replace the mirror, I can safely assume this is a street car. Get your new mirror and the three nuts, if there is no trim piece on the interior, hit the junkyard and they'll probably just give it to you. I had to pull out the black screw on the door panel to get the trim piece in, so you might do that. Put the mirror in place, screw the nuts on, push the trim piece on until it clicks, and put the black screw back in the door panel.

Takes 5 minutes.

just did it tonight. not as easy as i expected, but we got it done. basically, behind the interior piece that is there, there are screws instead of 8mm bolts. the screws are much harder to get to. you need a really small screwdriver, or take the whole door panel off. i just happened to have the small screwdriver, thank god.
