Default my car broke. :(

hahahahaha.. gotcha.. well, it kinda did.

My pass axle went byebye tonight at the track. On my second run of the night against a Cobra (of who's ass I stomped), my axle decided to stop working like it should at about the 1/8 or so. I ran like a 13.5 @ 68 mph. :chuckles:

I had another axle handy, but those wonderful people at NAPA gave me one iwth jacked up splines so it wouldn't go into the tranny correctly.

I was out for the night...

I'll hit NAPA up again tomorrow to fix the problem and then start doing some more research into some beefy'er axles.

There's a local shop that makes them for you so I might hit them up to see what they have to offer.

Anywho, just wanted to keep you all updated.

You scared the crap out of me! :nono: I kinda figured it wouldn't be anything big considering your build quality. How did you do on your first run?

I talked to a buddy of mine with a sleeved B18C5 block in a Type R that just ran 12.2 last weekend. He just bought my GS-R tranny for a little longer gearing and I suprised to hear he's still running stock axles and hasn't cracked a tranny yet. He's even running around on slicks. Hope you get everything patched back together.

The Cobra you ran was the Rustang variety, right??? Not the 1800lb aluminum bodied 427ci Carroll Shelby model that you rarely ever see at the dragstrip?

PS: Eh... just an axle... better luck next time. Can't wait to hear the times.

I will go take a look at the site, thanks Bumnah!

It was of the rustang sort. haha

The first run was like a 13.1 @ 108 because I was spinning all through second and third and even had to shift into fifth.

they have different types of axles. i'm sure they offer a much beefier setup than oem. i've always used their oem replacements cause they fit great, and look great. some shop around here have used them for thei 10, 11 seconds cars. i don't have any personal experience with the more hardcore setup.

I'll give them a call and see what they have to say.
