I was wondering if anyone had one of these collecting dust. I checked with the dealership and they wanted $350 :lmfao:

well, right now my clarion mp3 player (735) is getting repaired under warrenty. When I first installed it, I had an issue with the internal amp, which resulted in it frying out. However, it still worked with external amps. But a few months later, it would have problems accepting cd's, and then problems reading them (even brand-new cd's), and finally stopped accepting cd's all together.
then I had issues with my alarm remotes. Both of the remotes are made of plastic, so naturally, it broke around where the keyring goes. At least they lasted 2+ years, so thats not too bad.
but anyways, when I removed the cd player to be worked on, I hooked the old OEM radio up, unplugged the alarm, and programed a OEM keyless remote system. Theives around here break into car's for stereo equipment and things like that. Rarely are cars actually stolen (well, in my area of town), so I figure I can keep things the same and just throw in a factor cd player. I'm kinda bored with car audio for now, even though I still have the Focal 165v2 components hooked up (great speakers :grinpimp: ), and may still hook up one of the amps for a sub.
But I dunno, I was just testing the waters. I figured someone could be nice *cough*cough* and hook a brother up with a cd player....
the thing about 96-98's is that the CD player is modular. I beleive the CRV and a few others share the same unit, but Its totally seperate from the AM/FM receiver. Plus, it has the cool honda symbol on it
but who knows. I may just piggy back my mp3 deck so I can still run OEM keyless. mp3 is great, what, with my 3300+ song mp3 collection :chuckles:
