I can buy a 1992 Civic SI with 180000 miles and a stick for $950 Is it worth it? Nothing major wrong with it and never been wrecked. Any thoughts

 

you can get and do a swap. $950 seems a bit cheap. You may be even to talk it down cheaper.

 

check out the underbody is what I would say. Make sure there is no rust on anything metal, and if there isnt and it looks like its in pretty good condition then I would say go for it

Check for any discolorations in paint looking like they painted themselves, and if there is any ask if there was any rust when they painted over.

 

Yeah thats crazy cheap. Just make sure that anything that is wrong with it will be easy to fix or can be fixed and stay fixed. Other then that it's a great deal. I bought a 92 dx for $1000 mint and that was a great deal. Goodluck.

 

Go for it. For that low of a price, don't be too anal about small rust spots.
