That's the only way you can do it. In closed loop mode, the ECU will just adjust the fuel trims to get the a/f back to what it thinks it needs if you adjust the fuel pressure regulator or take fuel away using a afc. What ECU are you using, you can just have someone write new fuel maps for it.

drop your fuel pressure, and advance the **** out of your timing. I'm taking, all the way to the firewall. You can always do the old alcohol trick. When we had emissions here in MN, there were a few shops that would promise your car would pass, or they'd give you $500. Before the second try, all they did was throw some alcohol in the tank, and it would pass with flying colors... Not sure what the ill effects on the fuel lines, etc are, but if it works for this year, might be worth a try.

I'd love to do all that shit, but everything has to be at stock settings. I can't take it to a regular smog place and the referee checks everything including the timing. I do know people who know people that can pass me but I cant rely on that. Even if they did, thats not gonna make me feel better about my motor running like 5 % CO. It's like I can always adopt kids if I'm shooting blanks but that doesn't make me feel like a man right?

Someone said that it could be my MAP sensor . I know that right now I'm not using the one from the firwall and so I'm using the engine harness. What do you guys think is there hope? Anyone know how to route the map sensors on a 93 vx with a P72 ecu and B18c1?

I dont know where you live, but try contacting Max Ha Racing or MHR in California. He is the guy that sold me my engine, and he is a really cool guy. Anyway he has a smog machine and he only works on Hondas, so you might wanna gve him a try. Hes usually pretty reasonable.
