Default Where to get Brake line tubing at?

I decided that I'm going to custom bend and make my own lines for my jdm MC. Anyone know where I can pick up some brake line tubing at. Also where I can get a flaring tool for the lines. Will Autozone have them?

Autozone should have a flaring tool, they're pretty common tools.

The local Advanced Auto Parts had tubing you could buy and double flaring tools. I bought a 4' piece of tubing to practice flaring one before actually doing the one in my car to use the GS-R 1" ABS MC I had (you have to cut and reflare 1 line becuase it requires a different sized fitting). Be careful with the flaring tool as I ended up breaking 2 of them. I recommend you remove the line and clamp the tool in a vice. If you try to do it in your hands, you'll end up flaring it crooked and it won't flare properly and the tool will probably break (if you look at the tool, you'll understand how it breaks). Both parts stores were real good about taking the tools back and giving me a refund though.

Same thing happened to me, Andy. It sucks that the tool pieces are so fragile.

You can get the tools at Sears as well. Most auto parts stores will carry the lines.

I used to work at Advance Auto Parts, if you break the tool you can always bring it back for a exchange because they have a lifetime warranty on tools, the only problem is they dont carry very many at once (probably 1-2).

They had many different sizes of tubing as well.

I guess I'm the only one with an old school flaring kit that could survive a nuclear holocaust....
