Default GSR Crank confusion???

I recently spung a rod bearing and it took some metal off my crank from my 94 gsr motor. I'm going to replace the crank but I can't seem to find a 94-95 gsr crank. Is it possible to use a 96+ crank because of all this obd1 obd2 thing?? And can i also use a ls crank or a type r crank?? If anyone has the answer to my questions please let me know.

Thanks

The crank should be the same from 94-01. I would assume the journal sizes on the itr is the same as well, but I can't guarantee it.

all 94-01 gs-r and itr(the years it was offered) cranks are the same. The LS crank has a longer stroke and will probably require longer rods and new pistons, but if you want to do a performance rebuild, the LS crank along with the appropriate rods, pistons, bearings and fasteners, will make a fair bit more torque and power than the gs-r/itr crank. Think of it as an OEM stroker crank.

Shorter rods. A taller crank needs shorter rods to clear the head.

Any crank from a B18C* engine will work.

Be careful not to buy a B17A1 GS-R crank, but those are rare and don't randomly pop up anyway.

I got you a LS crank right here in MINT condition. All of the journals are standard size. Let me know if you want it.
