i think it means that they are just put on without any bolts or anything.

Being pressed on means the manufacturer used a hydrolic press to "squish" it on with a few tons of force. It cannot be removed without a press.

Honda has been using simple slip on rotors for a long time now. Even my old '86 Accord even had slip on rotors.
