Geez i don't think i'd ever pay more than 10 grand for a EJ SI, that's ridiculous. There are so many more cars you can get for around 15 that own a SI like say....a 99/00 EX+turbo and mods or a 97 M3 sedan

You do have a very valid point.

I'm not looking for a drag strip monster, I want to build an AutoX car.

So your idea of a great auto-X car is a front engine, front wheel drive no LSD, no torque civic? I think you may want to reconsider for the purposes at hand, no disrespect to civicSIracer but there are just many other ideal platforms than a civic SI such as some sort of mid engine rwd car like a MR2 or at least something that makes decent torque like a classic/200SX SE-R if you want FWD.

Oh yeah a M3 would be just fine for raping ass on an auto-X course and i got mine for a steal, it's great waking up in the morning thinking *i have a M3 in the garage instead of a civic SI* but i do miss my turbo EX Maybe when i hit it big in my new job i'll be able to pick up an elise or exige *DROOOOOOOOOL* now THAT would be an auto X monster.

I've considered other options for autocross cars, and the Civic is the most appealing. I'm not only looking at it for performance, but for reliability, plus it has a lot let miles then my dsm so small things will probably last longer. On top of that I really like the body styling of Civics.

I didn't come here asking what kind of car I should buy for autocrossing, I asked for opinions on the Civic I was looking at.

Well IMO it's still overpriced, get an EX or something and do a LS swap if you just want to auto cross

haha, I dunno, I'd offer them 8. It's not so great a deal that you can't walk away from it. And remember aftermarket stuff lowers a car's value.

It's stock except for suspension.
