Default McGard Splinedrive

Will teh mcgard splinedrive lugs work on oem acura wheels?


i may be getting some blades for the hatchy soon and the guy at this shop said they won't work... :dunno:

I don't see why not. Just look at where the wheel lugs would mount on the wheel. If they're tapered \ / then they'll work. The guy at the shop probably wanted to make an extra buck by selling you new wheel lugs.

It depends on which one you get. I think all the Splinedrives are conical shaped. You need a ball/acorn shape lug. Never use a conical seat shaped lug on a ball/acorn seat shaped wheel and vice versa.

i believe all OEM wheels are ball/acorn. it will not work.

I thought that the ball type lugs were meant for steelies. But since he's inquiring about the GSR blades, doesn't OEM alloys accept conical?

Most OEM Honda/Acura wheels use acorn/ball type lugs.

They'll go on.. but they won't seat properly which creates a dangerous situation.
