Depending on the setup and youre expected hp goals an fpr MAY not be necessary. but a fuel controller can only do so much. If the engine requires more fuel then the controller can provide with the injector pulse then pressure must be increased.

Sure, if you use the wrong kind of engine management for your power levels or try to squeeze mega-power out of the dinky stock 240cc injectors.

I'm not too fond of tuning measures that involve raising the fuel pressure. That's too much of a bandaid fix for me.
