Best Coilover setup
I was just wondering what the best coilover setup is without going into the $thousands. I was wondering like ground control, eibach, or like skunk 2. What the best ride is on all and best price. Or should i just go with lowering springs. I already have a 1.75" drop but i wanna go down more and I also have a body kit that is going on in like 2 weeks. i dont wanna be too low so is 2.25 a low drop for a full body kit. And where i live the roads are madd shitty so i dont wanna bottom out.

I installed Tokico Illumina shocks with Ground Control Coils and the ride is nice. No complaints. If the roads are bumpy where you are, coils might be your best bet because you can adjust the height to what you want so you don't bottom out at all. The shocks cost me about 350 I think and the GC cost about 275. The GC's have eibach springs btw. There are a lot better shock and spring setups out there but it all depends what you are using them for. Plus, if you just get lowering springs, you will end up having to get new shocks in the future anyways... unless you don't mine bouncing around

i installed KW stage three kit which is height and strengh adjusted and they are probably the best kit for your handling,i know that in the US you people pay a lot of attention on the looks and not handling,thats why you do not do a lot of turning and spinning when we just llooooove drift challenges on street roads.forget those look upgrades they dont give you an adrenaline rush which is needed from any HOnda driver!!!

If you're not gonna do any kind of performance driving, then your basic "sleeve" coilover setup would suffice. The reason why I'd still go with coilovers as opposed to regular lowering springs is because if you're planning on installing a body kit, they it's a plus to have the versatility of being able to raise and lower your car as you see fit (and to save your body kit).
Another reason why I'd go with coilovers is because with regular lowering springs, over time they tend to sit uneven (especially if you drive by yourself a lot) and the passenger side of the car doesn't seem to settle as low as the driver side. With coilovers, you can have your car sit with an even stance due to its adjustability.
One thing you should do is when you decide to opt for coilovers is get a set of aftermarket shocks to go with it. Take care of both of these parts simultaneously and save on installation costs.

dude, i got the skunk coils with agx.... its a harsh ride. its cool cuz u can adjust the height (which is why i got them in the 1st place) but seriously, u'll get lazy and leave them at the same setting all year round. posted a tread about the tokico illumina kit. comes with springs and adjustable shocks.. i just think this combo (since they are designed to work as a kit) would be better off trying to match the coils and diff. shocks. besides the coils have a higher spring rate, no matter what shocks u got. ur gonna hit hard on a pot hole
I recommend the OMNI Power Full Coilovers. Ride height adjustable and shock height adjustable. I tested them on 2 tracks (Laguna Seca and Sears Point). They are definately worth the price ~$650-$679.

I already have the Tokico blue series shocks so i was just wondering how ride quality would be with the coils because many people that i have talked to said that the ride is shitty and they wished they got springs. But i think im going to go with the ground control coils because it would be nice to raise and lower my car whenever.
