Default turbo fuel management Q

ok I am plannin on doin a homemade turbo setup in the up coming few weeks, and was wondering if I can use a VAFC as my fuel management. I am only planning on a minimal boost setting, until I really get to know turbo and how it works and I can really start building the block etc etc.

I would say yes, but it wont give you as great of an amount of flexibility as would a hondata. Go ahead and get it because it is cheap, works up to a certain extent, and get it tuned by someone who knows what they are doing. That said, you can probably run up to ten psi with some experience and building of the motor. Maby more then that but that is a round about guestimate.

I am only plannin on runnin around 6ish psi for now, and I got a great deal on the VAFC. for 6psi am I gonna need to upgrade injectors or anything like that? I would think they would be fine. I am prob. gonna scoop the missing link as well.

it seems to me that you have your head on straight so far. The injectors will probably be fine, the missing link is an easy way to do it but it can be done for alot cheaper, like 6 bucks, the Vafc is on a good deal right now, grab it up before you get passed up.

I just spend a good few hours a month ago putting on the p30 mani to eliminate all the extra vac lines and garbage. So I am gonna spend the extra few bucks on the missing link so it doesnt look like a fish tank store under my hood

you don't use a missing link with the AFC Hack the VAFC splices your map signal and you can alter it.

Just be sure to keep the rest of your fuel system straight. The biggest thing to worry about is getting enough fuel pressure when you're under boost. An AFC can regulate your injector duty cycle, but ensuring that your fuel pressure rises 1 PSI for every one PSI of boost is the most critical. OEM Honda fuel systems really don't flow very well, so I wouldn't trust the stock regulator if this car is going to be daily driven or if you're not running Hondata (so that you can monitor lean conditions).
