Default Street Legal

I live in LA and I recently purchased a Del Sol VTEC that has had a lot of work done to it. My problem is that I cannot get the car registered in LA because it won't pass smog and is not street legal. Does anyone know of any decent shops in LA that would help me out for a reasonable price?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

what is not street legal about it? If it has an illegal swap, your only option is to replace the motor or grease some palms... If it has illegal bolt-ons, you'll have to pull them off to get the car tested. If its lacking in emissions equipment (i.e. no cat), you'll have to put one on. Tell us what specifically is illegal about the car, and we can give you a little more help.

Well not really "illegal", but its either a stolen engine or it just doesnt pass smog. Also depending where you're from some performance parts are considered not "street legal"

The engine you swap into your car needs to be the same year or newer than your car. Otherwise it's illegal.
